The Knoxville Happiness Coalition is a place to pause and pay attention.
Leadership can be deeply meaningful and it can also be exhausting.
Many leaders are doing their best to care for people while managing constant change, limited resources, and their own fatigue. There is very little space to slow down and reflect on how leadership actually feels or how our daily choices are shaping the culture around us.
It is a leadership community for people who want to lead with clarity, steadiness, and genuine care. Not by adding more strategies or fixing themselves, but by looking honestly at what happens day to day. How we listen. How we communicate. How we support people. How we manage our energy and stay connected to our values.
If you are leading through complexity, change, or burnout and you want leadership to feel more sustainable and more human, I invite you to join us.

Why Join?
Because leadership can be deeply meaningful and deeply isolating at the same time. You may be carrying responsibility for others while navigating constant change, limited resources, and your own fatigue. The Knoxville Happiness Coalition offers a psychologically safe space for real, human conversations—not networking, not performance, but honest reflection and steady support. It is a place to gain practical tools you can use immediately, strengthen your mental well-being, and grow alongside others who are committed to building healthier workplaces. Sustainable leadership requires community, and you do not have to lead alone.

A Safe Space for Real Conversations
This is not networking. It’s not performative. It’s a psychologically safe space to speak honestly about leadership—what’s working, what’s heavy, and what feels unclear. You can vent. Reflect. Be real.

A Place to Pause and Pay Attention
Think deeply about your leadership and the culture you are shaping every day. Ask real questions about what is working, what feels heavy, and what needs to change. Frequently asked questions
Why are venues chosen without a focus on alcohol?
Venues are intentionally selected to be welcoming to all members, without a focus on alcohol. This ensures everyone can participate comfortably—whether due to personal preference, faith, recovery, or other reasons—without feeling the need to explain or justify their choice. The focus remains on meaningful conversation, reflection, and building a healthier, more human workplace culture.
Can I pitch my services or use this group for networking?
No. The Knoxville Happiness Coalition is not a space for selling services, promoting businesses, or networking for leads. While meaningful relationships naturally form, the purpose of this community is reflection, leadership growth, and building healthier workplace cultures. We protect the integrity of the space by keeping it free from solicitation so members can engage openly and safely.
Do I have to attend every gathering?
No. While consistency strengthens connection, this community understands that leaders have full schedules. Attend as you are able.
Can I join if I don’t live in Knoxville?
Yes. While there are in-person gatherings, the Academy courses are online, and meeting locations are determined by membership demographics. The structure flexes with the community.
Will meetings always be in person?
While we prioritize in-person gatherings, due to extenuating circumstances outside of our control, some monthly meetings may be held via Zoom. This ensures continuity, accessibility, and the safety of all members while maintaining the collaborative and reflective nature of our community.
Is this group only for executives?
No. It is for leaders at all levels—formal and informal. If you influence people or culture in your workplace, you belong here.
What is the refund policy?
Membership is annual, and renewal reminders are sent prior to the next billing cycle. We do not offer refunds for the current membership year, including if you relocate or your work situation changes. Keeping our costs accessible requires shared commitment, and we ask members to honor their annual investment once they join.
Can I bring a guest?
Guests are welcome at select events, including the annual World Happiness Fellowship, where members receive preferred seating and preferred rates for themselves and their guests. To protect the integrity and psychological safety of the community, members in good standing may invite a working professional to attend a regular gathering one time. Because this is a grassroots, word-of-mouth movement, invitations are thoughtful and intentional, ensuring the environment remains respectful, confidential, and aligned with our shared values.
Does HR get PDC?
Yes! HR professionals holding SHRM-CP® or SHRM-SCP® certifications can earn Professional Development Credits (PDCs) for these courses.
Is this therapy?
No. While mental health awareness informs the work, this is not therapy. It is leadership development grounded in emotional intelligence, reflection, and practical application.
